Hyderabad: Telangana School Education Department ne government schools ki infrastructure kami ko door karne ke liye ek naya initiative shuru kiya hai jisme corporate sector ke CSR funds ka istemal kiya jayega. Is plan ka pehla phase Kodangal constituency, Vikarabad district mein launch kiya gaya hai jahan lagbhag 200 sarkari schools pilot project ka hissa banenge.
Is initiative ka maqsad hai ke corporate contributions ke zariye science labs, computer centres aur digital classrooms banaye jayein—jo abhi bhi kai public schools ke liye ek sapna hai. Officials ka kehna hai ke yeh model schools ke long-standing infrastructure issues ko address karne mein madadgar ho sakta hai.
Taza UDISE (2023–24) data ke mutabiq, Telangana ke 26,106 sarkari schools mein se 55% mein science labs nahi hain, aur sirf 25% schools mein digital boards lage hue hain. Kariban 2,000 schools mein functional girls’ toilets ki kami hai, aur hazaaron schools abhi bhi boundary walls ke bagair chal rahe hain. Toilets ki overall condition bhi dikkat wali hai, sirf 89% schools mein usable toilets available hain.
National averages se mukable mein Telangana kai indicators mein peeche hai. Isi wajah se sarkar ne Companies Act ke tahat eligible companies ko encourage karna shuru kiya hai ke woh apna mandatory 2% CSR budget schools ki development par kharch karein. Is law ke mutabiq, woh companies jinka net worth ₹500 crore, turnover ₹1,000 crore, ya ₹5 crore annual profit hai, unhein apne profits ka 2% CSR activities mein lagana zaroori hai.
Agar Kodangal ka yeh pilot successful hota hai, toh sarkar is model ko aur zilon mein expand karne ka plan bana rahi hai, jahan private partnerships ke zariye public education system mein behtari laayi ja sake.
